Mom and Dad Visit

Mom and Dad just left this morning for the airport. Back to good 'ol SC. We surprised Dad with the new boat. Jeff was nice enough to let us use his slip at Shilshole and we walked down that docks. Dad kept looking around and you could tell he was puzzled. Pretty funny stuff. Mom already figured it out when she borrowed my laptop. Haha.
Anyway, Dad and Bob took the boat up on Wednesday. Mom and I then took Cooper and Alabama up in the Victoria Clipper and met them on Friday morning in Victoria, BC. It was a lot of fun.
Last night we had dinner in Bellingham and GWTW will be docked in Blaine, WA for the next month before our big trip in September.

Our new baby comes to Seattle

OUR NEW BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are the proud new owners of a Hunter 36, brand new! She has two staterooms, forward and aft. She has a fridge and a freezer as well as lots more closets. We even have a real shower this time. Last week we took Cooper to Ikea while Alabama was having her hair done and purchased new bedding and other doodads. It's driving us crazy that it is beautiful outside and we can't go out in her. Everything is almost done and we should take possession of her next week sometime before Mom and Dad get here. It's been really hard not to tell them, but we agreed a surprise would be more fun. So far, we've told Elizabeth, RaRa and Andy. Gran and Poppy know and Rhett and Dana were out here when we went up to Bellingham to see her for the first time. Boundary Bay anyone? :-) Currently, Gone With the Wind is being outfitted. We have a really cool GPS and autopilot. It will be quite fun to learn how she works. Lots more buttons and switches than Moonlight had, that's for sure. Right now she is sitting at CSR, getting put back together and cleaned up. One more week!

Here is the first image of her underway. She was coming East from the lochs into CSR.

Here she is at CSR's dock with a large fishing vessel behind her.
